AT&T does an impressive back flip as it makes an entry into the arena of Android Mobile phones. The announcement of the arrival of the phone has been marked by Motorola backflip being awarded ‘The Best of CES’. It is available at $99.99 with a two year contract which is only possible after a $100 mail in rebate offer, and is accepted by the consumer. The Motorola Backflip has the advantage of a unique design and it is a real head turner. The Motorola Backflip phone as the name suggests has a keypad that is available behind the display unit.

The device is very user friendly, and one can also click some great pictures with the 5 megapixel camera. It has all the features of an Android Smartphone that runs on Android 1.5 mobile phone technology that is in need of an up gradation. There is Google integration in the Motorola Backflip which is made available with various Widgets available on the home screen display. One can easily click pictures and also circulate them in the social networking websites by using the Backflip. One may be over concerned about the durability of the Keypad that is often exposed to finger prints and smudges as it is available behind the screen of the Motorola Backflip.

In short, the backflip phone is a smart phone with a digital camera and a digital player. It is available in Platinum Silver color which is very eye catching and adds to the lure of the phone. Measuring at 2.1 inches in width, 15.3 mm in thickness, 108 nm in height and weighing 4.7 oz, the Motorola Backflip is ideally suited for people looking for an affordable smart phone. The WCDMA/GSM technology that is associated with the folder type phone also has voice dialing for the tech savvy users. But if you are looking for a Smartphone with high speed performance, Motorola Backflip is certainly not that best choice.

Behold the Motorola Devour Silver in all its splendor and grandeur as it delivers some of the state of the art features combined with excellent performance that devours the limelight from all other smartphones. The new version of Motorola has finally arrived at various mobile phone stores available online. There is growing apprehension regarding the high expectations with this new phone which has descended, after the much hyped release of the Droid Smartphone which wowed the audiences with its Google Android device.

At first glance, Motorola Devour Silver looks sleek and sturdy for a Smartphone with a thumb pad which is good for fast typing, but the display is a little smaller than expected. Some find it disappointing to see Android 1.6 on the Devour as it is the least preferred technology in the Android clan. To add to it, many users find it difficult to maneuver through the controls. Devour represents Verizon’s joint venture with Google’s Android and one is also required to get Verizon data plan to use the Smartphone.

Devour is very similar to Droid and in fact, they look like siblings. Both the devices are sturdy as they have a compact design that is very practical and unique. The Devour and Droid range of mobile phones look almost the same and have similar weights too. The controls need realigning as they seem to be eating up a part of the display. Many feel that the 3.1 inches of display could have been expanded, if the developers would have placed the touch controls in a single row. Thumb pad is the highlight of the Motorola Devour Silver Smartphone. It is very advanced, as the sensitivity of the thumb pad can be adjusted by the user. It serves as an optical mouse as well as a user control. It is fun to roll the thumb pad to navigate as many prefer to use it over the touch controls.

Typical of all motoblur devices, Motorola Devour Silver merges all contacts from the phone book as well as social networking sites in one application. There are many more widgets to keep you updated on the weather forecasts, news and much more. The camera resolution is another disappointment, as the only option provided for editing the images is a color effect. The photo quality is as good as Droid and the photo gallery is more interactive. The overall performance is a little below the expectation of the users but nevertheless, Motorola Devour Silver has arrived and has also carved a niche for itself in the mobile phone industry.

Motorola is at it yet again. This time its all set to compete with the famous iPhone from apple. Although nobody were able to take out much information about this,

However, we some how got our hands over some information about its new launch called the "Motorola Android".

This android based phone is already in the news for its promised features. It would have iphone like touch screen, a host of social networking features and a slide out qwerty keyboard.

It is supposed to be a higher version of HTC built T mobile G1, but price wise it far much lesser.

Most probably this android series from Motorola would be launched before the end of year and likely to take up the market with a boom. The concern already within the software freaks is that most probably the new android series phones would face heavy compatibility problems initially. The Software geniuses are all set to face and resolve it.

This is the only information about this gadget. Would update you all soon once we recieve more news.

Motorola launches a new model early this year, a simple upgrade to Motorola Rokr. It takes a different and sleek approach for buttons with only the virtual buttons vibrating instead of the entire phone. Motorola launched is new model Motorola Rokr E8 which is a quad band GSM phone with EDGE for data usage. T-Mobile is the only initial carrier of this phone.

Design & Looks: "Motorola Rokr E8" definitely had a cool look unlike the nokia phones. It comes in a Black, smooth and slippery look. The frontal look is like that of slab giving a feel of 3D motion. The display is 2" QVGA with bright colors at 256k. This model from Motorola has haptic vibration, that is touch sensitive controls which vibrate. The scroll wheel works awesome for music control. The buttons on the side include volume rocker, camera launcher, charging port, and key lock/power on key. The 3.5 mm audio jack is on the top.

This model has a 2 mega pixel camera. The speaker works great and sits at the back of E8. MicroSD card and SIM card both go under the battery panel which means you got to remove the battery to reach them.

The Controls for Music appear when the music player runs. They are virtual buttons rather than the traditional ones. When the phone is in calling mode, all the music controls disappear and same is the case when the mobile is in music mode, the calling options disappear. similar is the controls for camera and other applications. Music player supports nearly all the formats like MP3, AAC, AAC+, Enhanced AAC+, WMA, WAV, AMR-NB, Real Audio (RA) v10 and has common music playback features including play list, shuffle, repeat and more

Just like any other Motorola phone, Rokr E8 also has a great signal strength. You rarely find a drop in signal especially when running on T-mobile, which is the only option presently. The ear piece and blue tooth headsets work good with the phone.

Motorola E8 has all the basic features like phone book, calendar, messages, file manager, alarm clock, calculator, world clock, task list, notes and voice notes. One particular observation while reviewing this phone was the slight lag in launching the applications or switching from one application to another. This is quite unusual in Motorola phones. Although once up, applications including games work smoothly.

Rokr also supports MMS, Email, Web Based IM and SMS. The symphony Web browser by Motorola is able to display complete html pages with most of the layout and images intact. Our observation showed that JavaScript based pages gave problems. The speed of browser on EDGE was good enough. Battery life was also good with 7 hours of talk time and nearly 2 weeks of standby time. This is our practical experience. Now that's some excellent battery backup numbers.

To conclude, Motorola Rokr E8 is an awesome phone with great reception and audio. This phone should go well with the younger generation who are always music hungry. Currently this mobile is priced at $99.99 with a 2 year contract. If you want to go without contract, then it would be $349.99.

Motorola has come out with yet another model, and this time it is exclusively for women in fashion. Earlier Yesterday, Motorola launched its new model MOTOJEWEL mobile which has a touch of Femina.

Motorola has always been good in targeting specific audience with its releases.
What more, it comes along with a handbag which has room for MotoJewel, a lipstick and a credit card. Well that's what every woman who parties out require for a night out.

This new launch from Motorola is sure to win some customers because it caters to the people who shop the most, the women!

Motojewel comes with a blue tooth headset giving the ease of hands free. It also comes along with music player which can easily be synced with Windows Media Player application on your computer.

This model also has a 2 MP camera, thus satisfying the need of photography through cellphone which is a demand among women.

This model is similar to the U9 headset which was released last year. Even the hidden display is similar to it. Motojewel keeps in mind the colorful needs of a woman and hence comes in "Midnight quartz" scheme with purple keypad inside.

This model has been released for only specific time and would be in market from November onwards. At present, the price is unknown. If you happen to know it, please leave a comment with the information.

Motorola V750 is the latest reply to all the Motorola critics who have been predicting the downfall of the company. This new release from Moto has really won market applause once again. Lets check this gadget out which was released towards the end of last month.

Design and looks: well, nothing much to say as it looks like a Moto phone. Many Moto fans have now begun requesting for a change in the design of the phone which seems to have become the only design Motorola chooses. To be fair, Motorola did bring some improvements in this model.

The design is stylish as always and fits perfectly in your hand. There is this bright display and fully dedicated music controls at your ease. This model is slightly heavier and bigger than the W755, which looks same. It is highly shock proof and is good for those who prefer rugged phones. The outer display is 1.6 inch long and supports 65000 colors.

It displays all the information required frequently like time, date, battery consumption and signal. It also shows photo caller id. when the phone goes dark, you just click the volume control and the bright light is back again.
Additionally, you can control your music without opening the flap with all the controls given on the top. The left side has push to talk (PTT) and volume control while on the right side you have the dialing button and handset locking cum speakerphone control. There is no camera short cut. This model uses micro USB port for powering the batteries. 2.5 mm headset jack is provided for the audio needs.

The internal display measures around 2.2 inches and has resolution 320x240 pixels. It has pretty good keypad made of rubber, giving you the cushion feel.

Internal Features: well, alike other Moto phones, this one too has around 1000 contact phone book capacity with each page having possibility of 5 numbers, two email ids and notes. You can group the contacts and also attach a photo to each. There are 20 tones and alert tones. Unlike others, there is a separate phone book for PTT contacts which gives the same functionality as the other phone book. It has all the general features that other moto phones have like a calculator, call timers, text and multimedia messaging, call recoding, a world clock, a calendar, an alarm clock, a notepad, a voice recorder, and a speakerphone. Higher end provides you with Web based e-mail and instant messaging, USB storage, PC syncing, speaker independent voice commands, and full Bluetooth.

Camera doesnt have a flash. Its a 2 MP camera which takes shots in 5 resolutions. There is self timer, brigthness and white balance controls. other Camera features are same like its previous model.

The V750, as an EV-DO phone, supports the complete range of Verizon's 3G services which includes the V Cast video service and music store. There is option even to purchase Verizon's GPS service, VZ Navigator.

Phone Performance: with Verizon service, we tested the dual mode, dual band and it came out well. Amazingly, the call quality was very high and with loud volume. some of the callers heard humming sound, but we did not hear anything of that sort. People could hardly say whether we were using cellphone or land line. Speaker phone too works well, it was catching the voice from quite a good distance and the clarity was nice. The batter runs for 5.5 hours talk time and about 22 1/2 days standby time. well, this is quite good for CDMA phones.

Well done Moto, but please change the design next time!

Motorola jumps in with its news about launching a new camera phone which is more of a camera than a phone. Well the name is MOTOZINE ZN5. This camera would surely appeal all the camera freaks out there.

MOTOZINE ZN5 plans to achieve fame by showing up 5 Mega pixel sensor (with partnership with Kodak) which also features auto focus, image stitching, xenon flash in and on device integration with Kodak gallery. All this plus WiFi, Motorola's "mode shift" technology for switching the keypad depending on device mode and yes not to forget quad-band GSM radio with EDGE for all those radio lovers.

Though Motorola is expected to take this model across the countries globally by the end of this year, however, China would be the first country to get the start by next month.
