Summer is the right time to release all the eco-friendly gadgets. All those gadget lovers might have got overwhelmed by the way the great deals of gadgets are releasing day in and day out. But are they doing any good to our planet and our fight against global warming and pollution.
But NTT DoCoMo is definitely an eco-friendly device. This is a solar powered mobile phone which can be charged whenever it is sunny. It can also be used on a rainy day as this is a water resistant replica which can be immersed in water up to 1 meter for about 30 minutes. If the battery goes down then the solar powered NTT DoCoMo can easily be charged again with just 10 minutes of sunlight the panel starts producing about 1 minute of talk time.
The solar powered NTT DoCoMo features an 8 megapixel CCD camera is designed to capture high quality pictures even in the worse light situation. The solar powered mobile phone will enable you to take clear and visible pictures even if the object around you is in motion. As it is waterproof you will be able to get connected even if your mobile phone is completely wet.
It is expected to be out in September and will be available in Japan. The DoCoMo solar hybrid handset is also scheduled to be showcased at the Wireless Japan 2009 exhibition. The pricing information is not yet revealed.
