Flip SlideHD review

The Flip SlideHD is ideal for sharing photos and video with your friends and family while on the go. It is pretty expensive as compared to other camcorders that are available in the market. The Flip SlideHD is priced at $279.99, so you can easily get a fully feature mini camcorder in the market and save money on it.

The LCD display is something to watch out for as it is very wide at 3 inches and the camcorder comes with 16 GB internal memory. And the memory storage capacity is more than that available with other flip models of camcorders available in the market.

The Flip SlideHD camcorder has the latest touch screen technology and the display looks very stylish as it can be slipped to the top and one can also enjoy the movies with his friends. The shooting and sharing videos features are excellent and something to look out for, but one can always get a better deal with other camcorders.

The Camcorder dimensions are 4.1×2.2×1 inches. It weighs 5.9 ounces and is very lightweight and ideal fro carrying around while on the go. It has an internal memory of 16 GB which is very convenient. The resolution is commendable available at 1.6 megapixels.

The LCD size is 3 inch with 96K dots. Flip SlideHD comes with a fixed lens and it is not possible to rotate the lens according to convenience. One can record videos in H.264 video format. There is stereo AAC audio (.MP4).

The highest recording time is only 4 hours and one may need to carry the battery charger along when shooting for long hours. There is no image stabilization technology and the video quality is not good either. It comes with a lithium ion rechargeable battery that works for 2 hours.

There is no facility for attaching HDMI cable to the Flip SlideHD and it has many mini HDMI, USB, headphone jack available. White balance is available in auto mode and not many options are available. Flip SlideHD is ideal for entry level videographers as its lacks some of the advanced features and one has to make do with whatever is available.

There are no scene modes possible with Flip SlideHD and the focus is available in auto mode. There are no color effects and no auto or manual lens cover is available. Flip camcorders do not have many features and they are mainly used for sharing videos and images and they are known to give decent performance.
