With the increasing stress in the working environment, especially physical strain on legs in factories where hours of standing is needed, Honda brings a great news of relief. This time its a gadget that walks for you, takes the body weight for you and you can stand for any number of hours without feeling any strain!

Honda’s new wearable robotic Walker is the new innovation from the Automobile giant, which is primarily build to cater the factories and companies where workers complain about leg cramps and lower body problems. This Honda wearable Robotic walker is well planned to support the body weight, diminishes the stress on knees and lower back, just like as if someone is holding up your body weight as you walk. This gadget comes to resolve the special health conditions for people who require to walk and run during work hours for deliveries.

The device is also aimed at giving support to other health conditions like people suffering from arthritis and walking disabilities. It would also be a good companion of the old people. The idea for a normal person might sound weird, but this gadget comes as a relief to many who need it.

The mechanism is pretty simple. You position yourself onto the seat between your legs, put on the shoes and press start button. Now you being walking like just how you do normally. This device has computer, gear, battery and sensors implanted in it.
Noki 6260 Slide is finally out and all set to hit the stores. This Mobile would find its place in market in the early December. Although this does not count among the greatest release this month, Nokia 6260 Slide would find fair amount of consumers.

The market has essentially seen Blackberry Storm which was the all craze mobile. To top all, the shortage of Blackberries caused havoc in the market with more and more consumers demanding for the piece.

Nokia’s slide phone release comprises of all the essential functions that its other mobiles have. Though not packed heavily with features, This model still appeals to many, essentially because of the brand that Nokia carries.

This model 6260 is a very user friendly mobile which has quite good looks. Design is same as 6220 Classic with a little tweak here and there. Nokia 6260 Slider also has the same camera as in 6220 Classic. Its a 5 MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens.

The display stands at 320×480 with 2.4 inches size. The phone has a numeric keypad which is better than Qwerty. 6260 Slider also provides certain level of internet services. Other features are fairly the same if you are a nokia fan.

This model would be made available to open market by jan 2009. Guess, this time the christmas gift by Nokia isn’t too big, but fairly a good one.

Well GPS technology has been updating faster in recent times and more gadgets keep coming in the market, trying to compete the others. This times in the run is Garmin 265T GPS. simply punch in the information and drive off to your location by finding out the shortest route. well, just like any other gadget, lets jump into it and see if it is really worth buying!

Apart from this you can Send addresses directly to Garmin from Mapquest or Google maps (while connected to PC), has 6.5 million pre-installed points of interest (POIs) + ability to add your own, Bluetooth phone connectivity, Pedestrian mode, Garmin Garage (pick a custom vehicle icon), Driving statistics including max speed, average speed, stop time, and more, Travel tools including a world clock, calculator, currency converter, and photo viewer, A multitude of spoken languages including English (US, British, Australian accents), Italian, German, French, Korean, Japanese, and more

In order to check its performance, we tested it on the busy roads of Los Angeles, especially during the peak traffic hours. The Hotfix satellite gives you a quick connection to the signal which is a good improvement in technology. After you catch the signal, you get the option “Ready to Navigate” prompt after which you type in the address you intent to reach, give the nearest landmark and accordingly go to any point on map.

There are many criterias that you can give by which Garmin guides you to the specified address. There is a traffic notification icon that turns red color when there is traffic on the route. While testing, Garmin gave us pretty good results most of the times. Ofcourse since its just a gadget, it does know all the shortcuts.

At times when we tried to reach a place, we found better options which garmin did not suggest. The problem occured when there was signal blocking hurdles like high rise buildings of Los angeles where Garmin went out of track. However one needs to understand that Garmin takes the support of satellite signals and hence cannot be directly blamed.

Garmin also depends on FM traffic reports which might not be available in some areas. One more aspect to be pointed out is the ad banner that appears when you are not navigating. This is actually the free lifetime traffic facility by ads. So don’t get annoyed by it. But even the ads give you help in searching your preferred location.

The interface has on its main screen two options “Where to?” and “View Map”, which are pretty much self explanatory. It also gives you the battery signal, level, time, signal strength, blue tooth indicator and volume controls. We checked the ease of interface by handing over to Non tech women without telling them about the options. They fared pretty well which means, this device is user friendly.

So simply put, the pros are that it Picks up satellites quickly, Intuitive, easy to use interface, Fast 333Mhz processor, 3-D terrain information, A host of spoken languages, Compact, easy to read screen (wide screen also available), Useful travel tools such as world clock and currency converter, Free traffic with unobtrusive ads. The cons are The fact that it even has ads might bother some, No extras such as a video/audio player, voice control, etc (a con if you expected a GPS with multimedia features), Goes haywire in areas with high buildings (as with most GPS units), Non-QWERTY keyboard

Garmin 265T GPS is priced at $240 in market.

This new game in the Lara Croft’s series, picks up from where Tomb Raider: legend left. The game begins with a video of recap of all the events that happened in previous game. which means if you haven’t played the previous game then you would be left scratching your head. This time she is on hunt for fabled Avalon and her long lost mother. Most of the times, the plot tends to look a little silly and over dramatic. However, it seems to hold the interest well.

The puzzles are and look similar to the previous games. The climbing areas also are mostly similar. But there are unique ones as well that makes the game a little new. But there is nothing new to offer in these terms, most of the jumps and climbs were already done in previous version of this game. The Tomb Raider game is supposed to be awesome, leaving the gamer without breath. But this one doesn’t seem to live up to the mark.

The drawbacks of this game are mostly due to failure in capitalizing the hardware. Very small levels leave you gasping for more. Most of the levels become obvious even before you finish them. The acrobatic styles, charm and other swinging, climbing etc are all similar. Deeper into the game, there are a lot of tricky situations that still hold your interest. Especially climbing high levels are still good past time.

The environment in the Game looks pretty good and according to the WII standards. Jungles of Thailand are awesome. In this version, Lara nearly travels the entire world. She swims, goes diving, rides motorcycle through canyon in Mexico, even relaxes in luxurious mansion.

The most disappointing thing about this game is simple puzzles and riddle. A person can easily resolve the puzzle and get going which is quite insulting especially for Tom Raider gamers. The controls are also not so accurate as it was in previous versions. Combat also disappoints you. There are some powerful enemies in the form of jungle cats etc, but they are very few and far from each other. You hardly get to fight them.

Lastly, it can only be concluded that Tomb Raider: Underworld may not be a bad game overall, but it sure is a big disappointment for the fans of this series. The simplification of the entire ame and dumbing down has led to its failure. But those who play Tomb Raider for the first time, they would surely enjoy it.

RIM comes out with yet another little piece of mobile, this time its a flip model. Although unlike RIM products, Blackberry pearl 8220 smart phone is the first flip model that RIM has come out with.

This time the body looks better than previous pearl models. It fits perfectly in the hand and has better curves than its predecessors. It looks a little like the Motorola Razr, but a puffed up razr.

The LCD screen is 12 8x 260 TFT which makes it easier to preview messages and incoming call’s ids. Although this is similar to most of the flip phones, yet it can out beat others by giving the facility of avoiding the 0800 numbers.

Apart from the outer screen on the top, there is the inner, main screen. It is a 3 inch, 240×320 screen which allows you to view video in landscape and portrait mode. The 8130 was a slightly sharp edged model and hence this new model, 8220 comes out as a great upgrade. The quality of User interface is also excellent and lives up to the Blackberry standards.

The internal memory has also been upgraded from 64 MB to 128 MB. Another positive addition is the Blackberry media sync that will allow you to pass on the your favorite music from pC onto your phone. Moreover it also comes bundled with other important accessories like stereo headsets, blue tooth supported GPS receiver, car kits and the removable and rechargeable 900 mAhr battery to deliver a continuous four hours of talk time and over 14 days of standby time.

The phone is also compatible with nearly all media formats like MP3, acc, wma etc. Other features also include smart dialing, conference calling, call forwarding, speed dialing etc.

Blackberry 8220 comes loaded with blackberry maps to deliver maps and step by step driving directions with an enchanced HTML browser in two views, column as well as page.

Many corporates face the difficulty of tracking down and stopping the misuse of office resources which might also bring down the productivity of employees. Most of the times, the productivity is eaten up by the social networking sites, Internet messengers or game sites which makes a person lose most of his time. Although this cannot be stopped to the core, atleast we can put a hold to the kind of information accessed by these individuals.

Generally, the pronographic material is most commonly browsed by employees across the world. Downloading the same to their personal PCs in office also eats up huge storage space. In order to keep a watch on this, A utah based Forensic company has come out with a revolutionary software that can easily filter and block any pronographic material downloaded on any system in the network.

Paraben, the forsenic software maker, launched this unique software that can easily analyze the images found on hard drive and say whether they are pronographic in nature or not. Ofcourse the scripts used by this software has a number of parameters and criterias embedded before the conclusion is made by it. The program can be left to run through the network and it can automatically detec, analyse and delete such stuff.

Amber Schroeder, the CEO of paraben, said that manual searching of such material was tedius and time consuming and also required additional resources and hence expense. however, this simple software can do tons of such work in no time, thus saving time and money. This software can easily become the favourite amongst big companies who are mostly in business due to watch on their productivity. The price is also reasonable at just $34 for one computer.

Web Cameras have been another set of gadgets that are evolving day by day. Every company is trying to come out with a better featured camera that would have nearly every function in it. With increased presence on Internet through the world, the demand for a better and much powerful Web camera has been seen in the past two years.

Catching up with race, Minoru 3D Webcam launches in the market. This webcam is really living up to the phrase “optimized for messengers”. There is a new feature of 3D vision in this camera which fits perfectly for nearly all the commonly used messenger services like skype, OovOO, Windows live messenger and many more.

Although most of the web cameras cost just $30 or so, some with high features from logitech and microsoft might cost you $60 or $70. With this range of price being usual for webcams, paying $100 would be something extraordinary. But once the 3D vision feature is well understood, a person would not hesitate to pay $100 for this gadget.

This package of webcam comes with two cameras that needs to be installed pretty far from each other. The 3D vision feature can come into affect only if the other person has 3D glasses. Otherwise, this camera can be used like any other webcam for simple viewing.

Although Metallic attires generally don’t do good, Samsung i7110 seem to change the perspective of metallic symbians right with its launch. A metallic attire, awesome features and state of art gadget would surely leave many behind. Well we some how got our hands on this beautiful looking piece and started are regular postmortem on it.

Lets take a glance over its main features: Symbian 9.3 OS, S60 3.2 UI (FP 2), 5 megapixel auto focus camera with dual-LED flash, Camera wide dynamic range, , anti-shake, geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, VGA video recording at 30 fps and two slow motion video recording modes, Wi-Fi connectivity with DLNA support, GPS receiver with A-GPS,2.6″ 262K-color display of QVGA resolution, FM transmitter, Optical trackpad navigation, microSD card slot, Dimensions: 118 x 52 x 12.9mm, Weight: 125g, 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery, 3G with HSDPA support, DivX and XviD playback out of the box

Samsung takes a huge leap with this model and provides the all in one gadget running on symbian. With the other giants in the market like Nokia with their N95 and N96, this samsung baby promises to show its spark. Samsung i7110 isn’t all the compact you can think of, but at least it is within the range of comfortable size. The metallic body makes it a little heavier, instead little extra use of plastic could have made this handset a little more light.

The design begins with the frontal part having a 2.6″ screen with 16 million color display of QVGA resolution. It has excellent quality of picture and performs pretty well under the sunlight. contrast and other aspects of display are also good. Just above the screen, you have the video call camera and earpiece. The keypad has a 8 way navigation system, that means you can swipe diagonally too! With this, navigation within the browser makes it pretty simple.

This DPad also brings problems. when you are scrolling side ways, you cannot press any option. Now this could have been avoided. The keypad isn’t much to speak about and comes within the regular design, hence we will skip that in our review.

The left side of Samsung i7110 has the volume controls and a usb port. Buttons given there are quite large but are rigid enough.

Micro SDslot, camera key and FM key are on the right side of the handset. We wonder why was FM transmitter given a separate key making us believe that Samsung values FM a lot.

i7110’s bottom is plain and has nothing there. Behind the handset you have the 5 MP camera lens along with dual LED flash light just above it. Loudspeaker is also embedded in the top right side.

The battery cover is made of steel and opens up when you pull the latch at the bottom. It has a 1200 mAh Li-Ion Battery similar to the previous model i8510 INNOV8. The power consumption is huge with S60 3rd edition FP2 phones, which is well handled by this battery.

Music player has nothing new to be mentioned about. Its same as its previous models. The GPS navigation is pretty good in this smart phone. It has a built in GPS reciever with A-GPS support.

With this model, Samsung is back again for big competition. The only drawback of this phone is its poor soft key ergonomics. Samsung always had this problem and we wonder when it would pay attention to it. Rest assured, a great phone for a great price!

In the line of excellent phones, Nokia N85 joins the line. A full connectivity and multimedia phone that is packed with nearly every feature you can think of. The massive OLED screen is a puller along with the sleek design which gives a pretty well upgrade from its previous version. With the coming of Nokia N85, the N series has been given a pretty good boost (of course N95 is not counted in the regular phones).

Lets quickly discuss its key features. They are 2.6″ 16M-color OLED display of QVGA resolution, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual-LED flash and AF assist light, Camera lens cover, Symbian OS 9.3 with S60 3.2 UI, ARM 11 369 MHz CPU, 3G with HSDPA support, Quad-band GSM support, Wi-Fi with UPnP technology, built-in GPS with A-GPS functionality and 3 months of free voice-guided navigation, FM transmitter, Dual slide design with dedicated gaming/audio keys, MicroSD card slot with microSDHC support, 8GB memory card included in the retail package, Built-in accelerometer for UI auto-rotation, 3.5 mm audio jack, TV out, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, Navi wheel navigation, VGA video recording at 30fps, USB and Bluetooth v2.0, One free N-gage game, Keylock switch.

The review is not over unless we talk about its disadvantages, because that’s what everybody wants to know. No office document editing out of the box is available. Also it is not the best sunlight phone that means it doesn’t give a good screen display under the sun, Camera performance is not so convincing, Wheel navigation performance is also not good and zooming in the camera is very slow.

N85 can be taken as a filler between N70 and N96, however there is much that it delivers than just being a filler. While reviewing we checked the specification sheet of Nokia N85 and we could hardly find something that is missing in it. The OLED screen stands at 2.6″ which is one of its attractions. Nokia has delivered excellent quality when compared to N-gage flavor, lookswise as well, and to top everything pricing is less extreme this time. This could be one area where Nokia really worked on.

The closest competitor that Nokia N85 would have is Samsung i7110, although the looks might be different. The samsung i7110 is much similar in specs to Nokia N85 than any other. Designwise N85 is not going to turn any heads, but yes, it does look beautiful and better than others. Lets leave aside the N95 or 96 categories here. The frontal part is covered maximum by the 2.6″ screen. The screen is sure a killer with the contrast unmatched with any other TFT display. Keypad space is pretty enough and easy to use.

N85 uses Symbian 9.3 OS with Series60 3rd Edition user interface with feature pack 2 already coming along preinstalled. Other things like layout is quite similar as other Nokia phones. The customization options are extensive in this model. You get to pick from 4 different layout options which are 4 x 3 grid, a simple list, 3D V-shape and Horseshoe layouts.

Reception was not giving any problems when we tested it out. Rather it performed really well. Phone book facility has nearly everything in it and its memory can be expanded to entire phone’s memory. The messaging is also wonderful. The intuitive editor helps in making it easy. It has a counter of 160 characters limit. The brackets show the indicator as to how many parts the message is divided into for sending.

One surprise was the Music player in N85. You will hardly find any music file format that this phone doesn’t play. Then the Music library is automatically sorted in any order you want. Video also works great with many options to see it in potrait or landscape form. you may even do a full screen to watch it.

Apart from this, there were no connectivity issues faced during the test run. The browser speed is also good enough for internet usage. GPS does okay but could have been improved. Camera is a 5 MP one, but there is nothing good to speak about it. There could have been improvements in this area of handset.

As a whole, Nokia N85 is a well delivered handset that would surely find buyers in the market. At a reasonable price, this handset can make other competitors have tough time in the market.

LG KS500, the latest one from LG is not that “go for it” mobile phone. The first look would not attract you in anyways and you would just miss it saying “its just another phone”. The reality is that its not just an ordinary phone, rather it has excellent features packed in it.

This slider phone has a 3 Mega Pixel camera with a QVGA display with 262k color. It also supports GPS reciever with all new yahoo! go maps application. There were many rumors online that this device was a hidden smart phone. But the final verdict is that LG KS500 is not a smart phone.

This model from LG offers dual band UMTS/HSDPA support in the tri band GSM ability. The dimensions are 102.8 x 49.2 x 14.9 mm and is not the smallest phone in market. But still its not very huge either.

The most pathetic thing about this phone is that it has 3 MP camera with fixed focus. It also comes with 100 MB built in memory and option for microSD card with support for up to 8 GB memory.

This might sound funny but KS500 is the first mobile hand set by south korean company to give the feature of optical touch pad. This options makes navigation through menus and browsers very smooth.

LG KS500 also has GPS connectivity with A GPS support. Along with yahoo maps, you may also wish to add google maps. The pricing of this mobile is not yet clear, however the only conclusion is that most probably Vodafone would carry this model out. Lets wait and see the price of this handset which would define its demand in the market.
