Today we thought of presenting the ASUS Eee top. Basically it is an all in one PC that has a touch capability with incredible features. It doesn’t have a well planned graphics but the price tag is pretty impressive of $599 and will be released soon in US. It has a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, and 15.6 inches of touch-friendly display.

The other features include opera touch browser, Easy Mode with large icons which are all dedicated to the touch capabilities. Asus Eee Top also provides you with the Eee Cinema multimedia center and SRS library manager for entertainment purpose.

ASUS Eee top appears to be more like an LCD monitor, but it is more than just that. From the picture you can make out that it does not require to be connected to a cpu or require a keyboard or a mouse. As a matter of fact, the optical drive is not missing and can be found on the right side. This is quite surprising as that is the most basic thing required in nearly all gadgets that are called computers.

Since it is a touchscreen and other external accessories are absent, the screen had to be of descent size. The screen comes in 21.6 inches size diagonally. The body of ASUS Eee top is covered with plastic, a thin plastic, which gives you the feel of ancient mobiles that had touchscreens initially.

In addition to this the Eee Memo is a desktop notepad application with handwriting recognition. Now you can leave a note on the memo in your kitchen for your husband not to forget to buy fruits just with the use of a little finger or a stylus. Asus Eee Top is portable and comes with a handle so that it can be carried anywhere. By the way, there is no need to buy an external webcam as the ASUS Eee top comes with a built in webcam now you can do the video conferencing any time. As touchscreen is one of the redeeming features of Asus most of the applications are touch sensitive.

Advantages: It is easy to carry, can be moved around easily, good all in one computer for such a purpose. Few good apps with touch design.

Disadvantages: There are more competitors in the market and this one falls below all belonging to its category. The software for touch is really horrible.

The only thing that will drive this gadget is its price tag, portability and simple applications.

Well, sorry to say but these are the only known features as of now as the ASUS Eee Keyboard did not reveal all the characteristics of the device. It is still under manufacturer’s observation. You might see few changes in the final version but no major changes will be done. It is estimated to be tagged at around $400-$600, it is worth a device. Acer 230H also has built in speakers which save extra space and the wiring facility is also very convenient. Although the entertainment performance is very disappointing for the movie buff, one can still purchase the fully featured ergonomically balanced Acer 230H for his home entertainment needs.

The PX2387 has a more angular design which is very unlike its predecessor XL2370 that made a mark with its aesthetic design and structure. Some consumers have performance issues regarding the maximum brightness level, which they feel is less as compared to that of Samsung PX2370, but if you are looking for excellent movie playback performance then Samsung PX2370 is the right choice for you.

The LG Flatron E2350V can be referred to as LG’s answer to Samsung SyncMaster XL2370. It is thin with sleek design but it lacks the aesthetics found in Samsung’s XL2370. But there is striking similarity between the two monitors as both come with a transparent neck and they have a sleek design.

The LG Flatron E2350V has excellent performance in terms of movie playback and color quality. This is in tandem with Samsungs PX2370 and XL 2370, but as it is known that the Samsung PX2370 is lacking in terms of functionality for movie playback and the colors are also not of good quality.

But when it comes to E2350V, some of the advanced features like the black color control have a lower black color as compared to other monitors available in the market. The screen is very dim but some of the other features are excellent and easily overshadow some of the weaknesses found in the product. The most attractive feature available with LG Flatron E2350V is its low end pricing as one can easily purchase the product at $280.

This is a major lure for most customers as the pricing is below that of Samsung products like the XL2370 and PC2370. The LG monitor has some of the unique features which include and a modern light sensor and it has ports for attaching headphone.
