Surprisingly, the odor and the noise do not invade the double insulated cabin. If you are looking beyond the two liter capacity, four cylinder engines that is fueled with the low cost diesel, you will find features like transmission which can be operated in three modes, Automated, Manual and Sport. While operating the dual clutch transmission in the manual mode, one is required to change the gears more often.
The sports mode is not ideal for driving in a congested traffic and one can feel the hiccups in the engine as it tries to maneuver the abrupt halts on the rural roads especially during rush hour traffic. But Audi A3 2.0 TDI still has plenty of features to boast about with fuel economy that ranges from 30mpg for the city roads and 42 mpg on the freeways. And Audi A3 2.0 TDI could do better, with the start-stop technology for transmission that is the latest trend with automobile manufacturers from around the globe.
