The first thing one notices of a Samsung Jet is its small size despite being a touchscreen phone making it a pleasure to carry around. Apart from being a touchscreen, it has the new 3D cube system to select applications.
The 3D cube interface leaves much to be desired for, even though it is nice to rotate the cube to open applications, it can take the entire fun out of it, due to the time it takes to open the second interface. Despite the ease of using the screen the excessive number of icons for a simple application makes it tiresome.
It has a good 5 Megapixel camera which is surely a good feature with various modes to choose from such as night mode, sunset, dawn etc. The 2GB memory space is an added advantage as one does not have to worry about storage especially since it has a very decent camera recorder with VGA 30 fps
Battery life is great with 36 hours of usage. Battery holds up well even while downloading a million emails from the internet.
The Samsung Jet is packed with few more standard features such as video editing and Dynamic canvas which allows one to draw or write on a photo. The phone does not have a GPS but has google maps to substitute it. The maps do offer the My Location service, but since there's no double tap to zoom or Streetview, it fails the purpose of having it.
On the trip side, the plastic chassis and the 110g weight counts against it, as it feels a little lightweight gives the phone a down market look .Many of the icons don't lead to any good widgets, rather just links to mobile websites, one can easily get bored of them. The lack of free games also is a big turn off.
