The Blackberry 8520 Curve is cheapest range from its manufacturers and best serves business purposes. Due to this feature it is usually sold by Mobile carriers as package with new connections.

Its working is very simple with a mini touch pad. The simplicity makes usage accurate and easy. The absence of a metal back plate gives it a down market look which can be ignored as its design is comfortable for extensive use in the hands and easy to pocket. The addition of the QWERTY keyboard and well responsive keys, makes for a good typing experience. The 2.46" screen is good with vivid colors and clarity with big icons in the menu.

It tops in the usage of Push Email support which makes it ideal for official use when on the go. Emails can be set up easily by just entering Email ID and password. A 512 Mhz ensures speedy delivery of emails and navigation decent. It helps load HTML pages at a good speed

It does have a built-in 2 Megapixel camera and support of up to 65K color definitions, but with a screen resolution of 320x240 pixel images are not that sharp.

The standard Li-Ion 1150 mAh battery of the phone gives the talk time of around 4.5 hours to the maximum of 408 hours in standby mode.

The phone has a 256MG of RAM which does not suffice but has been provided with a slot to extend the memory up to 16GB. Connectivity is not one of its best features even though Wi-Fi is built-in as there is no 3G/HSDPA nor is GPA provided. This phone can play modern audio formats, like MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA and ASF. The music play back is facilitated with dedicated music keys which give the option to play music even from the main screen of the device.

With no moving parts, it's also likely to prove more as a good value for your money in the long run.
