HTC HD2 is the first complete mobile launched by Windows. It is also the first phone to give direct access to Facebook and Twitter. The two noteworthy aspects when picking it up for the first time is the weight of the phone - it's just 157g with battery, which is pretty light for a phone of this size, and the 4.2”screen which dominates the whole front of the phone.
With a 5 Megapixel camera and dual flash LED, taking pictures in all conditions of light is a pleasure. However, accessing the camera is not that easy, as it has no buttons on the phone as a short cut for capturing something quickly. One cool feature of this powerful camera is the touch screen focus option. One just has to touch the part of the screen he/she wants the camera to focus on, and the phone takes care of it. The photo editing options are one of the best in this phone. Video recording is also a good added feature with an option to choose recording resolution, if for MMS purpose.
Some of the coolest applications of the phone are the Google Maps, GPS, RSS Hub, Facebook and Bing.
The GPS in this phone works great thanks to about 8 satellites being found. The Facebook standard application designed for a big screen justifies its use when you are able to search or browse for friends as a list of contacts.
Despite the strain the battery is given with a full day of push email, likely Wi-Fi being left on and internet browsing/media playback being used, it gives almost a full day of charge.
The upgrade in GPS in this phone is great. All other features relating to internet connectivity like WiFi, Bluetooth etc are an absolute pleasure to use.
This is a bold phone with a lot of technology packed in it. The screen, connectivity, camera, media features, etc classify this phone as an excellent investment and an absolute value for money.
Its a nice phone.
I am going to buy it soon
