The comparison between the two megapixel camera phones Siemens S65 and Nokia 7610 would surely let us know how they manage pictures with the same images. More importantly you should stress on the color balance, the exposure, the noise by slightly ignoring the resolution.

The Nokia 7610 is already famous in the market as being the smart phone with Symbian OS technology, where as Siemens S65 is the first ordinary phone in the market with a megapixel camera.

If we have to compare the photo quality of both the phones, we can well take pictures from both of them with the same scenes without actually changing the originality of the images. But you can keep the resolution size to full, and they might look bigger in size than usual.

If you thought resolution was everything, then think again

Post-pictures, we can surely see some difference and that is visible. The Nokia 7610 in comparison to Siemens S65 gives out some very sharp pictures maintaining the color balance and they look visibly better, but a bit of fuzziness in the upper part. Siemens S65 gives out bigger photos than the Nokia 7610, the S65 has a full resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels while the 7610 has 1152 x 864 pixels resolution against it.

But what we should keep in mind here is that we are actually comparing a 1.3 MP camera to a 1 MP camera. The pictures too seem to be dull mostly lacking the brightness and contrast. Infact, the contrast doesn't seem to be maintained well as they are underexposed and overexposed both and that is really confusing, even if you adjust the levels in S65.

Siemens S65 offer more advanced camera settings comparatively as Nokia 7610 selects only a size of picture and then zoom digitally, but Siemens S65 uses crops from the big pictures and that can lead to exposure compensation. With Siemens S65, you can find a self-timer, 3 settings for white color balance and other possible special effects.

For your convenience, the Nokia 7610 pictures are on the left side and the Siemens S65 are placed on the right. You can note the bigger size of the files but as said earlier, the originality has been maintained without any changes in the original pictures.

Nokia 7610 already being the megapixel camera doesn't compromise on the quality even if its resolution is lesser than Siemens S65. Although the pictures are not that really very good with 7610 but then it is a megapixel camera against an ordinary one. Though Siemens S65 has a higher resolution but the photo quality is average.

The Siemens S65 has two types of optics: one of the photo quality which we discussed above and the other is of a better quality picture. Actually, firmware is also important for the picture quality, and while choosing the phones you need to be sure of having selected the right optics type and the actual firmware to have more better pictures.
