This time this is no rumor. It is confirmed by the IGN that there will be a new game based off Michael Jackson. A mystery man in himself will soon be seen in a game. A report from MCV confirming the rumor says that the game is being dealt by the singer’s own company, MJJ Productions. A representative from MJJ Productions was quoted as saying "I am sure it will still be released. Michael loved games."
It is said that the game was under development since several months and the dialogs and speech was recorded by the King of Pop himself. It is slated for a release in the Christmas 2009 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No other details are known as of now for that the game will feature a number of artist’s hit songs. We will keep you posted if we get to know the other details of the game.
I have been very uncomfortable with the re-explosion of Michael’s popularity over the last few weeks; I realize the IGN story states the game was in the works, but it seems too coincidental.
I feel like every merchant from Amazon to the tee shirt selling cart on the street corner has been going hard at Michael’s memory… It is just jarring because a few weeks ago our mental associations of him were not of his most flattering “King of Pop” persona but his controversial / dubious personal life.
