There is a wave running around where everybody wants to own an iPod car charger but the one which we are presenting to you is a rare piece which you don’t often get to see. It’s a customized charger which de-clutters your dash area while giving all the power to your iPod/iPhone. All the needs fits in one 3 foot retractable Scosche reCoil. The reCoil is an ideal choice for those people who are looking for an automotive charging solution with its light weight and pocket size.

You can operate the device very easily and it is way too simple, it just requires you to plug in either end to their appropriate sockets. A vivid blue LED shines which indicates that it is receiving power from the car and your usual charging screen will appear on your iProduct. Setting the cord length is so damn simple that it just requires a type of “pull and release” motion to get it where it is needed. The normal charging time applies here as well and the length of the cord enables you to use your iProduct without any issues.

Everything is perfect with the reCoil expect for the quality. We doubt the quality of construction in that and you can never be sure of how long it’s gonna last. The main body is made up of two pieces of plastic which is glued together and probably we can see the glue which is holding them together and it might crack if dropped a couple of times. Other than that what we could imagine is a child pulling the cord past its spring loading but that is again considerably a long shot.

The reCoil charges the iPhone 3G just fine which is contrary to the review I have seen on Amazon. So, all you iProduct lovers out there if you prefer to own a one piece charging solution for your car and iProduct then we suggest you to grab out the Scosche reCoil. It is easy to use, compact in size and you can buy it for just $18.
