Android Phone HTC Lancaster

Android Phone HTC Lancaster

Various gadgets has hit the AT&T powerpoints there were slides which showed many details about the Palm Eos, new HP iPaq and the most exciting HTC Lancaster which is an Android phone we have been waiting to see for so long.

We have always thought how the Android would be like on Touch Pro, here’s presenting you with the Lancaster. But there are little speculations that "Initial Lab Entry dates were based on Google Mobile Services (GMS) UI, AT&T standard UI has been requested, which puts schedule in question" which means that AT&T might muck it up with its own UI, and take longer than usual to put out the phone in the process. The target date is supposed to be Aug 3 and it looks like for the next 6 months from the release date it’ll be AT&T exclusive. The screen resolution is 240x320.

With the name of AT&T all over it the Palm Eos slide has confirmed everything from much before with the WebOS phone with 4GB storage.

And there are whole lot of blackberry’s which are now confirmed from AT&T too. Blackberry like Onyx, Gemini, Magnum and a 3G Pearl all will be a part of AT&T.

The new lineup for AT&T’s fall collection looks pretty unquestionable at this point. With the advent of iPhone 3, a WebOS phone and this dynamic Android piece and to top them all they have the touchscreen Blackberry, but who is really interested in knowing those. The best part is AT&T’s network blows, since the other carriers have their work cut out for them.

While I really like the potential of these new phones, I’d like to drop a small word of advice about HTC. These were the original DoPods rebranded because those phones were so awful and prone to breakdowns after about a year. I’d sit back and wait before we dive into it. Just my two cents.
