iphone 3G has given a great boost to Apple, this time placing it amongst the worlds top 10 vendors list, the Research group analytics reported.
Market saw a increase of 6.9 million handsets shipped by Apple, thus placing it as one of the only few companies who had increase in their market share during the Q3 of 2008. Samsung and Sony Ericsson are the other two who saw a similar rise.
Apple jumped to 6th position, after remaining out of the list for long, mainly due to its Q3 sales of cellphones. Apple held 2.3 percent market in the Quarter, which is pretty huge improvement in its sales. Following the trail after LG, Motorola, sony ericsson, Samsung, and Nokia. The result is awesome since Apple has only one product to offer.
That means, with just one product, Apple is competing others making it the greatest rival for other companies. iPhone's success also caused huge loses in market to Nokia, which is the largest global mobile supplier. One reason for Nokia to get the hit is because they are not concentrating on the ever growing smart phone market.

I used iphone because it’s App store, I can download new app almost every day, apple hardware quality is top, because iPhone I used mac notebook and it’s very HI quality hardware and the OS is much faster and stable from visa. My notebook is much faster than my Hi end PC with vista. The only thing I don’t like about apple is it’s price lol
