Samsung Pixon Review: 8 MP Camera Phone from Samsung

For all the camera lovers, Samsung has a new release called "Samsung Pixon", which is equipped with powerful camera having distinct features in it. This comes as an exclusive product for those who are Camera phone fans.

Though Samsung had launched other models lately, this one is catching up interest of many because of its exclusive and much hyped camera capabilities.

This model was previously named as "Bresson" and has MSM 8800 chipset in it. The camera is a 8 mega pixel boost when compared to its other phones. Other important functionalities include handwriting recognition accelerometer (a common feature in latest phones), very good multimedia features and Geo targeting.

Other features include big bright 3.2 inched LCD with 240 x 400 resolution, Bluetooth, GPS features, micro SD slot for memory expansion and office viewer for office needs. Though most of these features are common across other models and companies, the most interesting feature to discuss in this phone is Camera which seems to be something different from others.

The camera is a 8 mega pixel with auto focus, a Double LED flash light. It also has image stabilization feature, face and smile recognition, video recording and audio. The videos play in WVGA 720x480 resolution at 30 FPS. It does have touch screen facility making browsing easy. For music lovers, there is FM radio with RDS inside, Multimedia player that supports nearly every file format which also includes videos. It weighs about 110 gm and is sized at 107.9x54.6x14.9 (in mm).

Although set to hit the market by November, the price has already been announced. Its priced at $800 (quite high). Lets wait and see the consumer response and we shall post it here once we get user reviews.
