Have you ever heard of a laptop battery backup that goes on for 24 hours? well this is the concern that most of the laptop users have.

Everybody wants their battery to run at least till their work is completed. But most of the times, battery goes dead even before we expected.

It is high time that with technology moving to next generation, a high powered battery backup is essentially required today.

To fulfill this need, HP makes the first attempt to achieve this goal. It has now come up with a unique battery that runs up to 24 hours in one single charge. Presently this battery would work only in few laptops like HP EliteBook 6930p, in which consumption of power is lesser compared to other laptops.

This battery requires certain parameters to give its full performance. This Notebook is equipped with a new SATA SSD X18-M and X25-M storage devices from Intel. It also has a different and optional LED s which extends the performance of a regular battery by upto 4 hours.

The LCD also consumes less power compared to the classical LCDs. This was made possible by removing the use of mercury in the display, thus cutting down the huge requirement of power. HP aims at producing only such displays which consume less power by the end of 2010.

HP EliteBook 6930p weighs about 2.1 kgs and has 14.1 inch screen. This notebook is for rough and rugged usage and designed to withstand pressure and extreme temperatures.

The OS used in this laptop is Microsoft Windows XP Professional which is a downgrade from Vista Business. Lets wait and see how this laptop performs, more focus being only on the battery backup.
